Gluten Free Holiday Food Shopping in England

English supermarkets take the cake when it comes to offering an enormous selection of gluten free holiday food items.

They have literally anything you can think of that’s a ‘must have’ for Christmas meals. Puff pastry sheets, pork and sage stuffing, yorkshire pudding, christmas pudding, cakes and the list goes on!

I LOVE eating and shopping in English cities (don’t get me started on London’s amazing gluten-free eateries

and bakeries!).

Waitrose’s Gluten Free Christmas Range

From yorkshire pudding, pork stuffing, stuffed turkey and a huge variety of sweets, cakes,puddings and biscuits Waitrose has a smorgasbord of amazing gluten free goodies perfect to grace your gluten free holiday table!

*out of all of the U.K supermarket chains Waitrose has the best wine/specialty alcohol selection. So, if you are a wine lover I recommend hitting Waitrose to kill two birds with one stone. The gluten free bird and the wine bird that is…….

Sainsbury’s Special Holiday Season ‘Free From’ product line

‘Free From’ Christmas goodies– minced pies, christmas pudding, gravy mixes, an assortment of fruit cakes, chocolate yule logs, puff pastry sheets, bread crumbs… and the list goes on! Sainsbury’s has a long list of special holiday season gluten free items. They’ve even got gluten free Panettone!

Marks & Spencer Free From or Gluten Free Holiday items

From gourmet prepared items such as stuffed turkeys (with pork and sage filling), lovely cakes, party and sandwich platters as well as a delectable assortment of packaged sweets and treats Marks and Spencer has got you covered if you’re hosting a group.

*Marks and Spencer makes it easy to buy gluten free every day items as well. Their sausages are almost all naturally gluten free (not common elsewhere) and they even offer packaged ‘free from’ sandwiches every day alongside their other packaged takeaway items

Asda and Tesco Free From & Gluten Free

Asda and Tesco carry pretty similar Free From holiday ranges as supermarkets like Sainsbury’s. You’ll see items such as fruitcake, crackers, lots of sweets and cookies and biscuits and chocolates, etc. I prefer the selection at the other markets on this list, but if you’re in a pinch and these are the only stores nearby they’re o.k.
